Delta Air Lines reported a 17% rise in cargo revenue for Q1 2025, totaling $208 million, up from $178 million the previous year. President Glen Hauenstein noted this growth was driven by higher yields and increased volume. The airline’s operating revenue reached $14 billion, a 2% increase, while operating income fell 7% to $569 million. CEO Ed Bastian emphasized a focus on profitability amidst economic uncertainty, predicting Q2 profits of $1.5 to $2 billion, and highlighted plans to manage costs by reducing capacity growth in the latter half of the year. Delta also welcomed nine new aircraft during the quarter.
