Costco has seen significant growth in its Logistics delivery service for large items like appliances and furniture over the past year. In fiscal Q1 2025, which ended November 24, 2024, the service completed nearly 1 million deliveries, including 196,000 in the week before the earnings call. CEO Ron Vachris noted that delivery times have improved dramatically, now averaging four days instead of two weeks. This growth follows a successful fiscal 2024, where more than 4.5 million items were delivered, marking a 29% increase from the previous year. Costco’s logistics expansion began with its 2020 acquisition of Innovel Solutions to enhance its delivery capabilities.
