Solar companies Suniva and Heliene have partnered with Corning to produce solar modules in the U.S., using domestically manufactured polysilicon, wafers, and cells. Corning will provide wafers while Hemlock Semiconductor will supply polysilicon from Michigan. Suniva will manufacture solar cells in Georgia, and Heliene will produce the modules in Minnesota. This collaboration aims to enhance the U.S. solar supply chain, allowing for up to 66% domestic content, which qualifies for tax credits. The move comes amid ongoing tariff discussions and is part of Heliene’s strategy to promote American solar manufacturing.
