CMA CGM Group is set to invest $1 billion in U.S. air cargo as part of a larger $20 billion initiative over four years to enhance the U.S. maritime economy and supply chain. This plan includes establishing a new hub in Chicago and deploying five Boeing 777 freighters, operated by American pilots, to improve trade connectivity. The company aims to expand its fleet and services, including a new route connecting Hong Kong to Chicago. This investment will create 10,000 jobs and strengthen CMA CGM’s long-standing presence in the U.S., where it operates in 40 states.
