Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) has launched a new GDP-certified pharmaceutical trade lane from India, with the first shipment facilitated by Penta Freight India for a local pharmaceutical company. The cargo was transported via Maersk Air Cargo from Mumbai to Frankfurt, then to RFD, where it was transferred directly into a reefer truck operated by Xperts Group. This initiative addresses the increasing demand from the Indian pharma sector for efficient handling of sensitive shipments through less congested airports, significantly reducing costs and CO2 emissions.
