After six months of rigorous preparation, Challenge Group has achieved IATA CEIV Lithium Battery certification, complementing its existing IATA CEIV Pharma and Live accreditations. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reports that around 1.3 million lithium battery shipments are transported annually by air, with approximately 5% included in air cargo. CEO Yossi Shoukroun emphasized the importance of detecting mis-declared shipments, while IATA’s Brendan Sullivan praised the certification for enhancing customer confidence in safety and quality. Challenge Group prioritizes risk prevention and safe handling, especially in e-commerce, where 70% of shipments contain lithium batteries.
