Cathay Pacific reported strong performance in December 2024, with a total of 2,248,950 passengers, a 26.4% increase from December 2023. The airline and HK Express together carried over 28 million passengers in 2024, a 30.7% rise year-on-year. December cargo figures also rose, with 143,564 tonnes transported, an 11.7% increase. Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau noted the peak holiday season’s impact on travel demand and highlighted successful service resumption and new flight launches. Looking ahead, Cathay aims to strengthen its global network and expand its destinations.
