The Cathay Group reported strong traffic figures for January 2025, with over 110,000 passengers carried on January 25, a post-pandemic record. The group aims to enhance its global passenger network, announcing new flights to Rome and Sendai, among others. Cathay Pacific saw a 37% increase in passengers compared to January 2024, driven by business travel and student demand. HK Express also achieved a record 667,000 passengers, marking a 46.1% rise. Cargo demand increased by 13.7% year-on-year, although a decline is expected post-Lunar New Year.
