On October 8, 2024, Cathay Cargo and DB Schenker held a ceremony at Cathay City to celebrate DB Schenker’s membership in the Cathay corporate sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) program. This collaboration aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions, with DB Schenker committing to purchase 878 tonnes of SAF, translating to over 2,600 tonnes of carbon emission reduction. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for this partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance sustainability in the air cargo industry and strengthen their long-term relationship.
