In November, the Port of Los Angeles handled 884,315 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), marking a 16% increase from the previous year. Year-to-date, the port has processed 9,375,735 TEUs, 19% ahead of 2023, with expectations to surpass 10 million TEUs for only the second time in its history. Port Executive Director Gene Seroka credited this achievement to the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders. November saw loaded imports rise to 458,165 TEUs (up 19%) and loaded exports increase to 124,117 TEUs (up 11%), alongside a 13% rise in empty containers processed.
