Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru achieved a record cargo volume of 496,227 MT in 2024, a 17% increase from the previous year, with international cargo rising by 23% to 313,981 MT. Growth was fueled by demand for perishables, e-commerce, and machinery parts. The airport handled 63% of its cargo as international freight and maintained its status as India’s leading airport for perishable exports. In 2024, it processed 75 domestic and 30 international routes, with a 21% rise in international flight frequency, notably from Indigo.
