Operations at Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and Canadian National have returned to normal following a brief work stoppage on August 22, which ended quickly due to government intervention. Both companies managed a swift recovery from the labor disruptions, with CPKC CEO Keith Creel stating that their network has effectively caught up. While freight operations are stabilizing, CPKC noted some ongoing struggles with bulk commodities, particularly coal. Both companies are now focusing on regaining lost business and preparing for future labor negotiations.
