Burlington Stores is focusing on enhancing its supply chain to lower product sourcing costs, achieving a 50-basis-point reduction in Q3. The company aims for a total of 100 basis points improvement by the end of 2024, supported by investments in distribution centers and automation. Burlington plans to own more of its distribution facilities rather than lease them, starting with a new 2 million-square-foot center in Savannah, Georgia, set to open in 2026. This strategy will enhance flexibility and efficiency, allowing for modernized, automated operations in the future.
