Boot Barn is shifting its production for exclusive brand products from China to countries with lower tariffs, such as Cambodia, India, and Vietnam, reducing its reliance on China from over 50% five years ago to 24% in fiscal 2025, with a goal of 12% in fiscal 2026. The company anticipates only 5% of its exclusive goods will be sourced from China by the latter half of fiscal 2026. To manage costs amid rising prices from third-party vendors, Boot Barn is reevaluating its inventory and canceling low-margin orders while frontloading inventory to mitigate tariff impacts.
