The FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, signed on May 16, exempts new Boeing 767-300 freighters from emissions requirements until 2033, although Boeing plans to halt 767-300F production in 2027. A Boeing spokesperson indicated that production will shift to the 767-2C for the KC-46A tanker program. Currently, there are 35 unfilled orders for the 767 freighter. The 767F does not meet the stricter EPA regulations coming in 2028, but it will not affect the existing fleet. Additionally, Boeing is developing the 777-8F, expected to enter service in 2028.
