BNSF Railway has announced a $3.8 billion capital investment plan for 2025, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient network to meet customer demands. The majority of the budget, $2.84 billion, will focus on maintenance, ensuring the infrastructure remains in optimal condition and minimizing service disruptions. Additionally, $535 million is allocated for expansion projects, including significant upgrades at facilities like the Cicero Intermodal Facility in Chicago and enhancements along key routes to boost capacity and service reliability.
