Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru (BLR) achieved a milestone by handling over 502,480 tonnes of cargo in FY25, marking a 14% year-on-year growth. This increase was driven by a 21% rise in international cargo, totaling 321,418 MT, while domestic cargo grew by 4% to 181,062 MT. For the fourth consecutive year, BLR retains its status as India’s top airport for perishable exports, especially in mangoes and coriander. With 12 dedicated freighter airlines, it ensures robust global connectivity, and plans to invest over 17,000 crores in expanding capacity for future growth.
