BJ’s Wholesale Club has promoted Scott Schmadeke to executive vice president and chief operations officer, and Krystyna Kostka to chief supply chain officer. These changes follow the resignation of Jeff Desroches, the former COO. Schmadeke, who has extensive experience in the grocery industry, will oversee BJ’s clubs, distribution, logistics, and safety, reporting to CEO Bob Eddy. Kostka, previously the senior vice president of operations, will manage distribution networks and automation, reporting to Schmadeke. Both bring significant industry experience to their new roles.
