The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has established a cargo community advisory body to replace the CCSUK User Group, focusing initially on the Heathrow Airport cargo village redevelopment. Director General Steve Parker emphasizes collaboration with the airport to enhance cargo operations while awaiting the third runway’s completion. The body will modernize freight systems and represent stakeholders, with Andy Cooke leading the initiative. Launched at a recent event, the group aims to address operational challenges and engage BIFA members in shaping cargo practices during the redevelopment.
