Bengaluru Airport set a record this Valentine’s Day by processing 44 million rose stems, weighing 1,649 tonnes, for 22 international and 38 domestic destinations, reflecting a 50% increase in stem processing and a 35% rise in tonnage compared to the previous year. This reinforces its position as India’s top airport for perishable exports for the fourth year in a row. International shipments surged by 51% in tonnage, with significant exports to destinations like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, while domestic transport increased by 32%, primarily to cities such as Delhi and Mumbai.
