APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has ordered a significant Automated Horizontal Transport System from Konecranes, including up to 71 Lift Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and a third battery exchange station. This initiative is part of APM’s expansion plan to double capacity by 2027, making MVII the largest fully automated terminal in Europe. The project aims to enhance reliability and efficiency, supporting growth and CO2 reduction goals. Konecranes will also provide integration and automation services, with delivery and commissioning expected to commence in 2025.
