APM Terminals and SANY Marine have signed a Master Framework Agreement to supply battery-electric terminal tractors, replacing approximately 500 diesel-powered units by 2030 as part of APM’s decarbonisation strategy. COO Olaf Gelhausen emphasized the company’s commitment to action and standardization in their transition towards net zero emissions, while SANY Marine’s CEO Jeff Fu celebrated the deal as a significant milestone for both companies. The agreement also promotes a full-cycle partnership model, enhancing support for equipment maintenance and optimization, alongside advancements in low-carbon technology within the industry.
