American Airlines Cargo has announced that John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) are now certified by IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in pharmaceutical logistics. This certification reflects the airline’s dedication to quality in handling life sciences, emphasizing safety and compliance. Additionally, Dallas/Fort Worth and Philadelphia airports have been re-certified, while Miami International Airport remains certified. The airline operates over 30 CEIV- or GDP-certified locations globally and has secured agreements for temperature-controlled containers to enhance its cold-chain capabilities.
