Amazon has launched Prime Air drone deliveries in the West Valley Phoenix Metro Area, allowing customers to receive eligible items weighing five pounds or less within an hour from its Tolleson site. Since starting drone deliveries in 2022, Amazon has successfully delivered thousands of items quickly, including prescription medications. The new MK30 drones, which are quieter and capable of flying in rain, enhance delivery efficiency by operating from hybrid fulfillment and delivery centers, marking a significant improvement in Amazon’s delivery capabilities.
