Over 50,000 items, all weighing five pounds or less, are eligible for delivery, although a fee applies. This initiative is part of Amazon’s strategy to incorporate drones into its fulfillment network, aided by a recent FAA approval permitting operations beyond the operator’s visual line of sight. Despite some limitations, Amazon has successfully completed thousands of deliveries since 2022.
