On May 21, 2025, Air India achieved its first airport-to-door international cargo delivery, transporting six tonnes of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals from Delhi to Brussels for SUN Pharma. The delivery, completed in 36 hours through air freight and a cooled Road Feeder Service truck, signifies Air India’s shift to integrated logistics. With GDP certification, it is now the only Indian carrier with trained staff for active pharmaceuticals. Air India aims to enhance its cargo operations, moving over 4,000 tonnes of pharma goods in 2024-25 and focusing on airport-to-door deliveries for future growth.
