Air India has received the Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification for its pharmaceutical cargo operations, making it the first Indian carrier and one of the few in Asia to achieve this standard. This certification confirms Air India’s adherence to international protocols for handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments, validating its expertise in logistics. In FY 2024-25, the airline transported over 4,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals globally, enhancing its capabilities through partnerships, staff training, and investments in specialized equipment to ensure the integrity of every shipment.
