Air India, owned by Tata Group, has confirmed orders for 10 A350 widebody and 90 narrowbody A320 Family aircraft from Airbus, adding to its previous firm orders of 470 aircraft. This raises Air India’s total orders with Airbus in 2023 to 350. The airline also selected Airbus’ Flight Hour Services-Component for its A350 fleet maintenance. Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran emphasized the airline’s growth potential amid India’s rising passenger demand. Currently, Air India has a total of 344 new Airbus aircraft on order, with six A350s delivered and additional Boeing orders pending delivery.
