Spot prices for air cargo from Asia Pacific to the USA increased by 5% week-over-week (WoW) to $5.16 per kilo, with China to U.S. prices rising 12% to $4.53 per kilo. Conversely, rates from Hong Kong to the USA fell by 9%, while Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Japan saw significant increases. Overall tonnages from Asia Pacific to the U.S. grew by 3%, continuing a six-week upward trend. Tonnages to Europe also rose by 2%. Globally, air cargo rates increased by 4%, with average spot rates reaching $2.69 per kilo, despite a slight drop in flown chargeable weight.
