This rise was driven by higher spot rates, particularly on busy Trans-Pacific routes. Rates from China to Europe and the U.S. continued to climb, with Shanghai experiencing a 5.8% weekly increase. In Europe, outbound rates strengthened, especially from London Heathrow, which rose 8.3% week-over-week. However, outbound routes from Chicago in the Americas saw a decline of 6.4%.
