Global air freight rates remained stable in the week leading up to September 9, as reported by TAC Index. The Baltic Air Freight Index dipped slightly by 1% but is still up 14.1% year-over-year. The Hong Kong outbound index saw a minor increase, particularly to North America, while Shanghai’s rates decreased by 1.8% week-over-week. European routes from Heathrow rose by 1.8%, reducing its annual decline, while Frankfurt experienced a 6.2% drop. In the Americas, Chicago’s outbound rates increased by 1.5%, improving its yearly performance. Further growth is anticipated due to new product launches and increased e-commerce activity.
