Last month, Air Charter Service, in collaboration with a South African conservation firm, successfully transported 39 white rhinoceroses from Namibia to Dallas, USA, for breeding programs aimed at preserving their unique genetics and combating poaching. CEO Lyndee du Toit highlighted that this was the largest rhino translocation ever, involving extensive planning and coordination. Previously, ACS managed the transport of 30 rhinos to Rwanda. The recent flight required a complex load plan for the Boeing B747, including a fuel stop due to the rhinos’ total weight of 80 tons. The rhinos have since been released and are thriving in their new habitats.
