The global air cargo market saw a significant decline in tonnage during week 14 (March 31 – April 6), with a 7% drop compared to the previous week, attributed to seasonal booking decreases during the Eid holidays and uncertainties surrounding U.S.-China trade relations. Despite this, volumes remain 6% higher than last year. Meanwhile, average rates increased by 2% week on week, reflecting a continued upward trend. Demand from the Asia Pacific to the U.S. softened, with a 5% drop in shipments from China and Hong Kong, although prices from the region rose by 4%.
