In October 2024, total air cargo demand rose by 9.8% year-on-year, marking the 15th consecutive month of growth, while capacity increased by 5.9%. This growth was significantly driven by an 8.5% rise in international belly capacity and a 5.6% increase in dedicated freighter capacity. Notably, global air cargo yields rose by 10.6% compared to 2023. Regional performance showed Latin America leading with an 18.5% demand increase, while Africa experienced the slowest growth at 1.6%. The air cargo industry faces potential challenges with geopolitical changes expected in 2025.
