Air Canada Cargo has leased two Boeing 767-300 freighters to Ethiopian Airlines, specifically MSN numbers 67023 and 67024, which are relatively new, being 3 and 2.9 years old, respectively. After being withdrawn from service in April and stored at Kansas City International Airport, MSN 67023 arrived in Addis Ababa on December 6. With this addition, Ethiopian Cargo’s fleet will expand to 20 aircraft. Air Canada’s decision to phase out these freighters comes after a downturn in the air cargo market, despite a recent recovery in demand.
