Airbus has announced the start of final assembly for the A350F freighter this year, with collaboration across its industrial sites to streamline the process. Key enhancements include reinforced engine pylons and a new optical fiber system for better overheating detection. At the Saint Martin site, a unique 14-meter tool named ‘Godzilla’ has been introduced for safe access to the cargo door. Additionally, wheeled robots are being explored to improve efficiency in assembly. The Toulouse Engineering team has also powered up the first A350 freighter, enhancing integration and testing capabilities.
