The Alabama Port Authority and APM Terminals Mobile have announced a $131 million agreement to construct a new 1,300-foot container berth at the Port of Mobile, enhancing its capacity by 50% to accommodate three ultra-large container vessels simultaneously. This project is part of a multi-phase expansion to maintain Mobile’s competitiveness as a container gateway, following the recent deepening of the harbor.
