Ford expects to recover quickly from a potential $2 billion hit in Q3, as its aluminum supplier, Novelis, will resume production sooner than anticipated. The automaker plans to add around 1,000 jobs, mainly in Michigan and Kentucky, to boost F-150 and F-Series Super Duty truck production to 50,000 units by early 2026. Despite a temporary aluminum supply disruption reducing Q4 production by 90,000 to 100,000 units, Ford aims to recover roughly half of these units in 2026. The company’s proactive response has contributed to record revenues of $50.5 billion in Q3.
