Icelandair Cargo has officially launched operations in Turkey, collaborating with Globe Air Cargo Turkiye, a subsidiary of ECS Group. This partnership leverages Globe Air Cargo’s local market expertise and ECS Group’s digital capabilities to create new opportunities for Turkish exporters and importers. Starting September 5, 2025, Icelandair will operate four weekly flights between Istanbul and Keflavik using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, enhancing connectivity to the US and Europe, particularly in high-demand sectors. This collaboration aims to establish Icelandair Cargo as a key player in the region’s air freight market.
