Rail Gate Bremerhaven, a new facility for combined freight transport at the EUROGATE Container Terminal, is set to officially open on July 1 after two years of construction and a six-month trial. Inaugurated by local officials, the facility represents a €70 million investment aimed at enhancing rail transhipment efficiency and capacity, with plans to manage up to 330,000 containers annually. Key innovations include remote-controlled railway cranes that improve operations, and the new facility is operated by a joint venture of EUROGATE and ROLAND.
