ULD CARE has officially endorsed the ULD Climate Impact Label at its annual conference in Istanbul, aiming to evaluate the environmental impact of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) in the aviation industry. Developed in collaboration with key ULD Original Equipment Manufacturers and airlines, this initiative promotes sustainability in air cargo by focusing on ULD weight, spare part availability, and second-life potential. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to foster the label’s adoption, with plans for a phased rollout starting with Aircraft Lower Deck Containers. The initiative seeks to empower stakeholders to make informed, eco-friendly decisions.
